carries you through lush green countryside against a backdrop of purple
Welsh hills rising in the distance... and on into a wonderful world of deep
vegetation and mossy pastures.
What an adventure, as you cross the river
Ceiriog, on the 70ft high Chirk Aqueduct and then go underground through the
459 yard long Chirk Tunnel, after winding its way through hills and ancient
woodlands you come face to face with one of the most spectacular seven
wonders of the waterways - the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct -1000ft long and 120ft
high, majestically looking down on the valley of the River Dee. Your
adventure continues through limestone cliffs until you reach Llangollen,
where a visit to the beautiful Horseshoe Falls is a must.
